Trainer Spotlight - Louis
An absolute ray of energy is a good description of Louis and he brings that same vibe to his sessions. While instructing both HIIT&RUN and HIIT&BOX, Louis reminds you to stay centered, to ground yourself and to listen to the body as it has its own process and takes its own course throughout each workout...but what are some of his wellness favourites?
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PERSONAL WORKOUT?
A: Any movement using bodyweight - so Calisthenics. For outdoor training, I enjoy gymnastics, yoga and meditation - not all workouts have to be physically exhausting. Sitting in perfect stillness is a different workout altogether but equally as challenging.
WHAT AREA OF YOUR BODY DO YOU FIND THE MOST CHALLENGING TO TRAIN?
A: I mean...who loves leg day? No one! Haha. But to be honest, I've had a few shoulder injuries, so if I were to try and pinpoint an area it would be upper body overhead movements!
WHAT DO YOU WANT SOMEONE TO TAKE AWAY FROM YOUR SESSIONS?
A: Anyone who trains with me, I want to come on a journey of uplifting, being educated and encouraged! From learning basic principles and movement patterns I want people to have the freedom to no longer rely on me to get a workout.
WHAT DAYS DO YOU TEACH AT VICTUS?
A: I teach Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SONG RIGHT NOW TO TRAIN TO?
A: My favourite to box to is Sounds of the Skeng by Stormzy
AND YOUR OTHER TOP 6?
Que Calor - Major Lazer, J Balvin, Alfa & Diplo
Tchami - Rainforest
My other favourites, they can find out by coming along to class! Now let's get to work!
